Restitution

Photogrammetry is a technical-scientific discipline and method of collecting data from distance using photogrametric aerial photographs. Institute for photogrammetry conducts photogrametric activities since the establishment. In the past, data were collected by mapping of details on paper or foil, but nowadays, it is done by direct digital structural input into the computer memory. Institute for photogrammetry possesses photogrametric system of the latest generation in which overall procedure of data collecting and processing is based on digital technology.

Apart form photogrammetric processing of aerial photographs (aerophotogrammetry), restitution of very steep terrain or certain buildings is conducted based on terrestrial photographs (terrestrial photogrammetry).

In the area of restitution and topographic survey, Institute for photogrammetry conducts:

  • photogrametric survey of horizontal and altitudinal overview of the terrain by digital drawing for:
    • cadastral purposes,
    • projecting purposes,
    • producing topographic maps,
  • terrestrial photogrammetric survey of the terrain and objects,
  • restitution of terrestrial photographs.
