Digital ortophoto

Ortophoto map is planimetrically correct aerial photograph which, by metrical features, completely corresponds to the map of the same scale. Procedure of producing ortophoto map is faster which makes it cost-effective in comparison to classical or digital map. In this case, the user takes over the role of decoder or interpreter and, based on his or her experience, interprets the display.

Production of ortophoto map is based on oriented digital photogrammetric image and digital relief model. Once made, there is no need to do it again, so producing maps with new images is very fast which enables continuous monitoring of spatial appearances and events.
